Digital Markers has been researching different ways to co-ordinate with existing archives as well as develop scanning and recording processes for ad-hock interactions.

and download supporting material. We have experimented with a wide selection of smartphone/PC scanning tools and accessories for use during workshops. Your existing document scanners, cameras and computers can be set to work and are all worth a bit of extra practice to get the best results.
There are many Smartphone apps for iOS | Android that help with capturing documents, extracting texts and combining documents into PDF files.

This Designscapes funded project period for Digital Markers was extended to September 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now as it draws to a close we can reflect on the experience of collaboration, development of tools and experimentation with materials. It’s certainly been a discovery process, one where everyone involved has made a great contribution toward construction of the guide and explored options together. Several tools have been introduced to the workflow during the process not least to aid co-ordination when meeting in person is not possible. Asana helped us organise objectives in the early stages and Miro was key for layout of ideas for the guide and sorting materials. On a day to day basis Discord proved most resilient and useful. All were new tools that we adopted, learned and will turn to again and again. Certain time constraints and limited experience led us to build the website with WordPress, meddle with new plugins and attempt refactoring of themes as you see here. We opened many more channels of experiment than we can list here but they are all explained in more detail throughout the project report which will eventually be published here, along with all the documentation we have about the process followed.
